Keppel FELS Delivered Shallow Water Jackup Oil Rig Platform

Keppel FELS delivered jack-up oil rig 'UMW Naga 4' to the Singapore-based UMW Oil & Gas Corporation.
 
Construction of the new oil rig platform was finished  6 days ahead of plan, on budget and with an ideal safety record. UMW Naga 4 jack-up oil rig platform is the 4th consecutive oil rig which Keppel FELS has delivered ahead of schedule in 2013.

UMW Naga 4 oil rig is constructed to proprietary KFELS B Class design of Keppel that is today the industry standard for modern jack-up oil rigs. With another 16 KFELS B Class/Super B Class rig platforms on order, it reflects the strong market demand for the oil rig design.

Created by Keppel FELS' jack-up oil rig design arm, Offshore Technology Development, the KFELS B Class oil rig platform is able to operate in water depths of up to 400 foot with a drilling depth of 30,000 foot. It combines Keppel’s advanced and totally-automated high capacity rack and pinion elevating system and self- positioning fixation system. In 2009, the oil rig platform design received the Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award from the Singaporean Institution of Engineers for its environmentally-friendly features.
